The Shaws are really beautifull, have to get one myself.
I would like to know how the bamboo flutes sound, do you have recordings with them?
What about the TWZ - do you like it? I think i remmeber that i did read that Dale didnt realy like it. But i heard also from people who do like it. TWZ has some fans but he is not realy acepted by advanced whistlers here. I "met" the maker online, wanst a nice experiance 😉 He kicked me out of his forum because i said that Bill Och is the best Whistle Teacher 😉

some reply:
1.bamboo flute need few breath!!Gently exhale will send out sound,i will make a record.
2.TWZ ,Blow up very laborious, especially high,i did't like it much so.But it in the first octave performance is very good.
For its price, it is good.for beginner.
advanced whistlers need more expensive wooden whistles.such as OZ whistle. i will record TWZ ,too.
3.bill ochs,i think he Have rich experience to play, but the lack of detailed theoretical basis. And he likes staccato style,i didn't like that.
Haven't you heard gery larson? i have seen about 13 celtic music teachers,i think he is the best one.

Whoever the best teacher is, if there is "one best" the guy from twz is a lousy teacher.
In his own forum he did give someone a bad advise just to say something different from what i did say.
I started with his german Tutorial and know it well. Its full of mistakes and i reported them to him, maybe he didnt like that i did that in public in his forum ;-), but its not my faughlt when he runs a forum for feedback, is it?

By the way TWZ whistles are not that cheap, depends on wich one, but his newest whistle is 130 Euro. Id call that expensive, specialy because you can get a good whistle for 5 Euro or less.

Anyway, to much of this, sorry i went of topic.
I am looking forward to listen to your Bamboo Flutes

Oh and before i forget it. Do you learn with the Tutorial of Grey Larsen? Do you want a forum for recordings of it, as we have for Bill Ochs and Ryan Duns?

O my, you are a Shaw Addict.

I didn't like the fact that it was non-tunable. Anyhow Im really curious why you liked it.

I have no Shaw yet (will get at least one) but i can understand why someone like them
they are very beautifull, arent they?
I love unpainted conical whistles they look so ancient and handmade and the long (lower) shaws do look to me like a wizzards whistle in their unpainted conical apearance.
I am not sure if i like the sound, they are very "windy" "breathy" i guess but normaly i do like that, i have to get one soon.
